Needs: A precise ICP, prospect material a personalized demo can be built from, a screen recorder, LinkedIn and target subreddits. Or run it without installing: connect the GTM Vault MCP and ask Claude to run linkedin-loom-demo-outbound.
Built from the system Vignesh Ravichandran, founder at MyClone, described on GTM Vault GTM 35 (https://pro.gtmvault.co/episodes/gtm-35). Published free by GTM Vault. The operator gave no outbound result numbers on the episode; your results will differ.
When to use this
Use this when a founder sells a product whose value is easiest to understand once the prospect sees it working on their own case, and the market is new enough that it still needs education. It fits teams that can name their ICP precisely and can produce a short personalized demo for each prospect. It pairs a direct LinkedIn motion with a slower Reddit motion that builds credibility rather than pitching.
The system on the record
Vignesh says demand today comes mostly from LinkedIn and Reddit, the two best performing channels (GTM 35, 22:46). His system runs in these parts:
- ICP first. Before choosing channels, the team ran customer research in August and September (GTM 35, 2:24) and held close to 85 to 100 conversations with their ICP before committing (GTM 35, 3:32). The ICP is knowledge professionals such as consultants, coaches and advisers, who already have a body of work in podcasts, courses, newsletters, white papers, assessments, frameworks and methodologies (GTM 35, 4:43). He added 15 plus years in the industry as an ICP attribute after observing that the most active users had that much experience (GTM 35, 5:55).
- LinkedIn outbound. The big piece is outbound, especially on LinkedIn: "we know our ICP then we hit them up uh with a personalized demo" (GTM 35, 22:46).
- The one-minute Loom demo. Each prospect gets a one-minute personalized demo recorded as a Loom video, a mini role play with their own agent. The intent is that the prospect sees the value immediately and only has to decide whether it is useful to them (GTM 35, 22:46).
- Automation behind the personalization. He says they have automated so much of the demo production that they can keep cranking out a lot of personalized demos (GTM 35, 22:46).
- Founder sales and market education. Alongside outbound, he is constantly out there educating the market (GTM 35, 22:46). The messages are that the product is not about replacing the expert but an extension that gives them more power, and that their users, prospects and clients are already talking to AI (GTM 35, 22:46), so the question is whether they want them talking to the expert's AI or a generic AI (GTM 35, 23:52).
- Reddit. Reddit carries blogs and technical details, including the technical topics covered on the episode. Because Reddit is strict about promotion, the posts are goodwill: let people see what the team does and has to say, with the expectation that this turns into karma and eventually into users (GTM 35, 23:52).
- Free tier to catch the demand. The motion is PLG for one to five person users, with a generous free tier so they can see the product in action before upgrading (GTM 35, 19:41).
- Partners for the harder segment. He expects the longer-term motion to be partner-led and channel-led, because many SMB customers such as CPA firms do not want to set the product up themselves (GTM 35, 19:41). He compares the model to GoHighLevel and Clay, where partners and channels are educated and do the setup (GTM 35, 21:36).
- Value framing. The value he puts to prospects is time saved, revenue generated, and leaving a legacy (GTM 35, 20:43). The cost he positions against is a virtual assistant who maintains the calendar and runs qualification calls (GTM 35, 20:43).
The result
Vignesh gave no result numbers for this system. He did not state reply rates, meetings booked, conversion rates, user counts or revenue from LinkedIn outbound, the Loom demos or Reddit. His only claim about outcome is qualitative: LinkedIn and Reddit are the two best performing channels (GTM 35, 22:46). In the rapid fire he named retention as the one GTM metric that matters (GTM 35, 32:33), but gave no retention figure.
Run it on your company
- Ask once, in one message, for: the product and what a prospect needs to see to understand its value; the ICP in plain words, including any experience or tenure attribute; how many customer conversations have shaped that ICP; the prospect's own material that a personalized demo can use (website, posts, content, public work); whether a free tier exists; the target subreddits; and the founder's weekly time for outbound and market education.
- Pressure-test the ICP. Vignesh held close to 85 to 100 ICP conversations before committing. Output: a table with columns Attribute, Evidence, Source conversation count, Keep or drop, plus a one-paragraph ICP statement and a flag if the conversation count is too low to trust.
- Build the prospect list on LinkedIn. Output: a table with columns Name, Role, Company, Profile URL, ICP attributes matched, Public material for the demo, so every row carries what the demo will be built from.
- Script the one-minute demo. The demo shows the product working on the prospect's own case, as Vignesh's role plays the prospect's own agent. Output: a script template under 150 words with merge fields for the prospect's name and material, a shot list (open on their name or asset, show the product doing their job, close on one question), and a hard cap of 60 seconds.
- Specify the automation. List which demo steps are manual and which are automated, so personalization can run at volume. Output: a step list with columns Step, Manual or automated, Tool, Minutes per demo, and a total minutes per demo line.
- Write the LinkedIn messages. Output: a connection note under 300 characters, a first message under 80 words that carries the Loom link and one line on why it was made for them, and one follow-up under 50 words that points to the free tier.
- Write the education messages. Turn the positioning into posts: the product extends the person rather than replacing them, and their audience is already talking to AI, so it should be theirs. Output: five LinkedIn post outlines, each with a hook, one point and one example.
- Plan Reddit. Write technical, non-promotional posts that share how the product works or what the team learned. Output: a table with columns Subreddit, Promotion rules, Post topic, Technical detail shared, Link policy, plus three full post drafts that read as useful without the product name.
- Set the scorecard: Looms sent, Loom views, replies, free sign-ups, upgrades, and retention of the users each channel brings, reviewed weekly and split by LinkedIn outbound, LinkedIn education and Reddit.
Tools on the record
- LinkedIn: primary distribution and demand channel.
- Loom: one-minute personalized demo videos for LinkedIn outbound.
- Reddit: credibility and demand source.

Where it breaks
- Personalization without automation. Each prospect gets their own demo, and Vignesh keeps volume up only because so much of the production is automated (GTM 35, 22:46). Recorded by hand, the demos cap how many prospects a founder can reach.
- A vague ICP. The outbound starts from "we know our ICP" (GTM 35, 22:46), and that ICP came from close to 85 to 100 conversations (GTM 35, 3:32). Without that work, a personalized demo goes to people who do not need it.
- Promotion on Reddit. Reddit is strict about how much promotion is allowed (GTM 35, 23:52). Product pitches fail there, and the payoff from goodwill posts is indirect; he says he hopes it turns into karma and then users (GTM 35, 23:52).
- Segments that will not self-serve. Many SMB customers do not want to set the product up themselves (GTM 35, 19:41), so direct outbound and a free tier do not reach them. That segment needs partners and channels (GTM 35, 21:36).
- Neglecting distribution. In the rapid fire he named not paying enough attention to distribution as the one expensive founder mistake (GTM 35, 32:33).
